Loudoun County Homeless Shelter Outreach
The Homeless Shelter Ministry Outreach is sponsored by the First Mt. Olive Deaconess. Deaconess will be serving dinner at the Loudoun Shelter on the 2nd Saturday in October and December. Anyone interested in helping out please contact Deaconess Thelma Polk or Deaconess Frances Ferrell.
The Missionaries are asking members for their assistance with outreach to Mobile Hope, which supports the needs of homeless children in Loudoun County. They will be collecting food (single portions), personal hygiene products, clothing, and school supplies. A collection bin is in the Fellowship Hall for donations. Contact Sister Virginia Payne for additional information.

The Young Adult Ministry will travel to DC on 4th Sundays after the morning service to feed our friends. The ministry is requesting your donations. SPECIFIC DONATION NEEDS: sandwiches with lunch meat (not just peanut butter), chips, snacks, cookies, crackers granola bars. Dependent on the temperature, we will also serve soup. We always need socks, lotion, deodorant, and other toiletries. Please use these items to guide/inform your much needed donations. Point of Contacts are Deaconess Beverly Coe-Whiting and Sister Marie Menefee-Campbell. Thank you for your donations.
Recycle Christian Reading Material
Please recycle old copies of “Our Daily Bread” pamphlet and other similar Christian reading material so that we may share God’s word with our friends in DC. While we are helping to nourish them with food by distributing bag lunches, we would also like to feed their souls. Please drop off donations to the church office and label them: For the Friends in DC.
