Rev. Glandwood Moore

Rev. Glandwood Moore was born in Aldie, Virginia on December 12, 1929. He grew up in Loudoun County, and he graduated from Douglass High School in Leesburg, Virginia. He married Evelyn Louise Goodwin in 1948, and they are blessed with two sons and two daughters.

Rev. Moore accepted his called to the Ministry, and he became a Licensed Minister on December 9, 1990 under the Pastorship of Rev. Harold S. Stinger. He was the founder of the First Mount Olive Men’s Chorus; he formerly taught Sunday School and previously served as a deacon of First Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Psalm 23rd chapter is Rev Moore’s favorite scripture. He says, “The Psalm has done for me, just what it says. The Lord is my Shepherd, he won’t let me want for anything. When I was sick, He brought me through.” He believes his life is a testimony to God’s goodness, grace and mercy.
