Hope Fellowship Church
FMOBC will fellowship with the Hope Fellowship Church in their Annual Candlelight Service on December 17, 2017 at 4'o clock PM.
We will be discussing the book of ACTS weekly on Thursdays, 7:30 PM at First Mt. Olive. Come and join the discussion that will be led by Minister Kenneth Cole. Please recycle old copies of Our Daily Bread pamphlet and other similar Christian reading material so that we may share Gods word with our friends in DC. While we are helping to nourish them with food by distributing bag lunches, we would also like to feed their souls. Fall Revival will be held on October 18, 19, 20th at 7:30 PM. The Guest Revivalist will be Pastor Haywood Robinson III, of The Peoples Community Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD.
Night One: On the topic "The Right Stuff" John17: 1-5 (below) Rev. Haywood Robinson explains the seven ways God brings unity to the church. Bro. Bell of People's Community Baptist Church blesses the audience with song and praise.
Night Two: The topic "United We Stand" Acts 2:41-47, We are united in Christ through Faith, Focus, Followship, Fellowship, Freedom, Favor, and Fruitfulness (right) Rev. Haywood Robinson. Mt. Feeding our Friends in DC
The Young Adult Ministry will travel to Washington, DC on 4th Sundays after the morning service to feed our friends. The ministry is requesting your donations. SPECIFIC DONATION NEEDS: sandwiches with lunch meat (not just peanut butter), chips, snacks, cookies, crackers granola bars. Dependent on the temperature, we will also serve soup. We always need socks, lotion, deodorant, and other toiletries. Please use these items to guide/inform your much needed donations. Loudoun County Homeless Shelter Outreach
The Homeless Shelter Ministry Outreach is sponsored by the First Mt. Olive Deaconess. The Deaconess will be serving dinner at the Loudoun Shelter on the 2nd Saturday in December. Anyone interested in helping please contact Deaconess Thelma Polk or Deaconess Frances Ferrell.
Men's Ministry Meeting
Men, each of us is needed to be in attendance at the upcoming Men's Ministry meeting on Sunday, October 29, 2017, following the morning worship service in the Dining Hall. Please put this date on your calendar. For additional information contact Deacon Stevenson.
The Missionaries are asking members for their assistance with outreach to Mobile Hope, which supports the needs of homeless children in Loudoun County. They will be collecting food (single portions), personal hygiene products, clothing, and school supplies. A collection bin is in the Fellowship Hall for donations. Contact Sister Virginia Payne for additional information.
Primetimers Annual Luncheon Celebration
The Primetimers Annual Luncheon will be held on November 4 at 12 noon. All Primetimers 65 years and older are invited to attend. For additional information contact Sis. Barbara Stinger.
Youth Weekly Rap Sessions
Join us each week on Wednesdays from 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Rap Sessions will be held at FMOBC. This a time for youth to receive encouragement, and to have an open place for them to voice opinions. Youth of all ages are invited to attend!
